ABOUT AISR

As AISR has continuously went from strength to strength, our Founder and C.E.O, Dr. Terry McIvor, has expanded our services to provide you with a wide array of wellness packages for you and/or your company. This decision was influenced by the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic, where we saw people from around the world having to spend prolonged periods of time in isolation. This has resulted in the deterioration of mental health and wellbeing for many of us, who have found it difficult to handle the seismic social and economic ripple effects of such a huge event in history.

We are committed to working with you improving our collective wellbeing, and we believe that our background in the world of STEM can help expediate this process, as we continue to develop technology which can help improve our understanding of our own health and wellbeing.

Hello and welcome to the Academy for International Science and Research (AISR). AISR is a specialist academy in Coaching, Hypnotherapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). We believe that there is no greater investment than in yourself, which is why we are dedicated to giving you best-in-class packages to help you feel more enriched and able to cope with whatever life throws at you.

AISR was founded in 2018 as Northern Ireland’s first independent STEM school in the historic walled city of Derry, also known as Londonderry on the west bank of the River Foyle in the North West of Ireland. It had been established in response to a clear market need to address the decline in the interest, enjoyment and uptake of science, technology, engineering and maths subjects among students, particularly at school leaver age. AISR is also committed to the teaching of the broader STEM areas, including business, administration, careers, digital media and teaching and lecturing. AISR is fully UK accredited and ISO 9001:2015 compliant.

Other services

Our Derry-Londonderry campus offers local students vocational training to the highest standards (technical professional level) in areas such as science, mathematics, IT photography and hospitality.

It also provides the base from which we export our high quality local educational products and services to benefit developing countries across the world including India, Burma and Nigeria.

AISR acts as a local and national education service provider offering the highest standards in professional and vocational training and higher education through accredited academic and research programs and locally through its affiliated colleges and study centres.

Our Vision:

Enabled and enhanced by digital innovation and educational technology development, AISR wishes to help improve the collective wellbeing of the wider public. We want to break down geographical barriers by exporting STEM courses of high educative and economic value, to upgrade skills and enhance the progression of student education throughout the world. These courses can aid in the improvement of wellbeing, covering topics like neuroscience and biology to help users better understand their emotions. Thus, benefitting the individual and the wider community.

Our Goals and Objectives:

AISR aims to promote its vision and values through four main streams of product delivery.

Develop and make available an application based STEM program for students of all ages. Applied learning enhances the ability to apply learning to real life situations and in doing so kindles entrepreneurial spirit and increases core competencies. This in turn helps improve personal wellbeing.
Develop and make available applied learning diplomas and advanced diploma courses for college students in STEM subjects that expands career choices and enhances employability
Extend the reach and value of AISR’s pioneering local work by exporting innovative, high value STEM programs overseas with a primary focus on developing countries.
Launch ATIR, the Academy of Technological Innovation and Research which will support AISR’s local, national and international ambitions through the provision of technology development including interactive 3D simulations and Artificial Intelligence (AI). We believe that the development of these technologies can play a major role in the improvement of our collective wellbeing.
