Quality Assurance and Enhancement
The Academy is committed to the continuous improvement of the quality of its provision and enhancement is central to the Academy’s Strategic Framework and Education Strategy. Our quality processes are designed to safeguard academic standards and improve the quality of the student experience. The Academy’s quality processes build upon established and ongoing areas of educational development frameworks such as the Inspection and Self-Evaluation Framework (ISEF) published by the Education and Training Inspectorate and the UK Quality Code for Higher Education, which is maintained and published by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
The Academy’s approach to quality enhancement in a broad sense is focused upon the delivery of a curriculum, that:

The Academy’s curriculum also specialises in meeting the unique needs of the Science, Technology and Service sectors by providing expert guidance, skills solutions and employment focused initiatives to create a highly skilled and dynamic workforce .
The Academy is responsible for reviewing and setting National Occupational Standards (NOS) for the AISR curriculum. NOS provide a rigorous and high quality skills infrastructure for occupations across these sectors. The NOS were developed in partnership with the employers to set standards and to identify the skills and knowledge needed to work in the Science, Technology and Service sectors.
